As the Advocate reported, black voters in Illinois support marriage equality 60% to 16%, according to a survey released by Public Policy Polling this past Wednesday. Support is even higher among Latino voters, at 70% to 23%.

National Organization for Marriage has devoted considerable time and resources in an effort to galvanize  African-Americans and Latino citizens to oppose marriage equality. As we know, internal NOM documents revealed that they were trying to “drive a wedge between gays and blacks.”
