There is something profoundly wrong about a gay man in sync with the leading antagonist at an anti-gay hate group.
Note that “homosexuals” is plural. Yes, Mr. Sprigg. We all know about one self-loathing gay putz who opposes marriage equality. National Organization for Marriage keeps trotting this guy out in every state campaign. He is also slated to be a speaker at NOM’s “Marriage March.”
Given Doug Mainwaring’s road show, NOM is apparently unable to duplicate him. According to Sprigg:
I met one such person when we both testified against the Maryland
bill to redefine marriage last year. Doug Mainwaring is a Tea Party
conservative—and identifies himself as gay.
He has become increasingly vocal and visible in defense of marriage
as the union of a man and a woman—arguing, correctly, that such a
definition is clearly designed to encourage responsible procreation, not
to oppress homosexuals.
Note the construct “identifies himself as gay.” In Sprigg-world, there are no gay people. “One such person” is about all you are going to meet. Next Tuesday we might find out how the Justices of the Supreme Court feel about the responsible procreation baloney.
Meanwhile I wish that Mr. Mainwaring would find some Prozac and a hot guy.
