A shameless display of gay hate!

Sant Antonio rally for discrimination

The proposed San Antonio non-discrimination ordinance (see the latest draft, below) prohibits discrimination “on the basis of race, color religion national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, age or disability.” Religious organizations have a hiring exemption. Regardless of what you may have heard, that’s pretty much the extent of it.

Nevertheless, the usual people are indulging in the usual drivel with the usual complaints with the usual self-pity topped off with the usual self-victimization.

“We’re out here to support our religious beliefs,” claims Eric Gomez.

“There’s been a connection with what’s going on in the civil rights community, and the gay and lesbian,” Marty Gaines says. “As an African-American I am here to say this is different and this is not the civil rights movement.”

“The HLGC – homosexual, lesbian and gender-confused community – has sought to piggy-back on the civil rights movement,” Charles Flowers with Faith Outreach Center says.

“HLGC?” I wonder if that’s something that Bryan Fischer said. Hard to  imagine why these people feel that they need the legal license to discriminate. It wasn’t that long ago when many of these people were the object of similar discrimination — some still are.
