The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is currently considering same-sex marriage cases from Hawaii, Nevada, Idaho and Oregon. The Oregon case was dismissed but National Organization for Marriage (AKA the John Eastman Fee Engine) has appealed the dismissal. That’s going nowhere.

The remaining cases before the circuit are:

Oral arguments in these cases were held on September 8, 2014.  It’s worth noting that the Ninth Circuit previously upheld Judge Vaughn Walker’s decision in the Proposition 8 case. In any event, now that the Supreme Court has effectively deferred to the appeals courts we can expect a decision from the Ninth Circuit any day now.
