(Bad) Elvis impersonator David Nye and Dolly de Leon claim to have strong religious objections to same-sex marriage, and they would rather lose customers at their downtown chapel than tarnish their ideals.

According to Nye, who owns A Elvis Chapel in Las Vegas “We are traditional Christians. We simply would be violating our beliefs if we participated in that activity.” Sure.

These folks have probably wed drunken sots to their hooker du jour. These people have probably married people who are on the third, fourth or fifth marriages. Only they really know about the freak show that goes on in a for-profit Elvis wedding joint. So give me a fucking break.

Las Vegas has a pretty well crafted anti-discrimination law. People cannot be compelled to provide a ceremony that is in conflict with their religious beliefs but the chapel is a public accommodation and must provide a way to accommodate gay couples. Idaho take note.
