Four guys who will probably never be president

National Organization for Marriage sent out an email to supporters with the subject “Marriage Champions Emerge From Presidential Field.” Those champions of regression are Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Bobby Jindal and, of course, Rick Santorum. According to NOM’s president, Brian Brown:

As you know from reviewing our five point plan, electing a marriage champion as president is our top priority. It is the quickest way to ensure that the illegitimate decision of the Supreme Court redefining marriage is overturned, and that supporters of marriage are protected from government discrimination and harassment. We are counting on your help to educate the American people by making an urgently needed donation to support our work.

None of those clowns is likely to be our next president — and giving NOM “urgently needed” money, well … I guess if you have to much of it to begin with, although there are better causes. As for the five point plan, NOM’s pledge requires the signer to support the effort to “amend the constitution to repeal this decision.”

I’ll email an abbreviated version of this post to Brian Brown. Which 38 states would vote to ratify such an amendment? In fact, each of the candidates, now committed to this adventure, should answer the same question. Which 38 states would vote to ratify such an amendment?
