I do not have high hopes for Gloucester School Board v. G.G. (the transgender access in public schools case). I would be thrilled to be wrong. However, if things break as I suspect I am sure that National Organization for Marriage (if they still exist next summer) will take all of the credit. Today they sent out an email titled: “defeating obama/clinton gender agenda.” Is there a shortage of capital letters and prepositions that I should know about?
In the media frenzy surrounding the latest email scandal announcement, you may have missed word from the US Supreme Court that they have granted review of the G.G. case, giving us the opportunity to defeat the dangerous gender agenda being advanced by President Obama, Hillary Clinton and LGBT extremists.
Who, exactly, is “us?” NOM was one of numerous organizations that filed an amicus brief in favor of the Court hearing the case. At this point they can edit and refile their brief (which will be read and summarized by a clerk) but that’s about all they can do. They are not a party to this case. I there some connection to marriage in all of this that has gone over my head?
NOM filed a brief with the Supreme Court asking them to accept the G.G. case, and we are very pleased they agreed to do so. This tremendous victory gives us an incredible opportunity to put an end to attempts by the left to redefine “sex” under federal law to mean “gender identity” and then declare it “discrimination” to prevent someone who “identifies” as the opposite gender from accessing intimate facilities like showers and locker room reserved for that gender.
Again with the “us.” Brian S. Brown, means the Catholic Church. They are not a party to this case either. The Church does not believe that transgender people even exist which kinda shapes Brian Brown’s thinking on the issue. As for a “tremendous victory” you would think that there are a whole lot more transgender people than there really are. While gender dysphoria does exist, it is quite rare. On the other hand, from my perspective, Making just one vulnerable trans kid more marginalized is one too many. Mr. Brown could learn a thing or two about character from Gavin Grimm (“G.G.”).
Please help us capitalize on this tremendous victory in the US Supreme Court by making a financial contribution to allow us to file a ground-breaking, game-changing brief pointing out why President Obama and LGBT extremists must be stopped, and to making sure that our position is adopted as the law of the land by our highest court.
NOM’s brief is unlikely to be either ground-breaking or game-changing. In fact, the brief was probably filed as donation bait. If protecting fragile children makes us extremists then I am quite happy being extreme. I am extremely displeased that the Establishment Clause within the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is routinely violated.
