Eugene Volokh and Todd Starnes

I sometimes disagree with Eugene Volokh but I read everything that he writes because he is smart, analytical and always intellectually honest. I learn something from the read. He was also a proponent of marriage equality. I never agree with Todd Starnes. Frankly, I think that Starnes is an imbecile. It is hard to be intellectually honest when one is a slave to ancient chronicles of dubious provenance. Personally I might go to Seder. Just don’t expect me to believe that Moses parted the Red Sea. But I digress.

Yesterday, Volokh posted: No, Madonna’s ‘I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House’ isn’t a threat of violence.

Today, according to Starnes: Madonna Should Have Been Arrested for Deplorable Threats Against Trump.

While I enjoy a diversity of opinion, this is not what I had in mind. These are not competing ideas of equal intellectual value.
