I thought that we had heard the last from Kim Davis, the Rowan County clerk who had to be forced by a court to issue marriage licenses to gay couples. It never seems to dawn on Davis that her two or three divorces don’t make her a paragon of marriage virtue.
Having lost her case in this country, Davis is in Romania with representatives of the hate group, Liberty Counsel. They are pursuing a referendum that will limit marriages to one man and one woman.
Davis is still Rowan County clerk so one wonders who is paying for her time while she is on a bigotry holiday. Did she take sick days or vacation days? I am guess that Liberty Counsel is paying her expenses.
Davis has already been expensive to the state. Taxpayers in Kentucky must pay more than $220,000 in attorney fees for the couples who sued Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis for refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples. That is on top of the fees that the state and county already paid in defense of the suit.
