National Organization for Marriage’s Brian S. Brown has an improbable attraction to misadventures. His Easter message email titled May The Joy of Easter be With You doesn’t start well:

Dear %%FIRST%% — As we reflect on the meaning and import of Holy Week,
it’s tempting to think in historical terms, as amazing events long since
passed. But what we celebrate at this time of year is not merely an
ancient memory from long ago, but times that present parallels to
modern circumstances today, and that offer the promise of an incredible
future.

And it doesn’t end well either:

I know that true marriage will rise again. I think it will happen
fairly soon, because it’s impossible to maintain the lie of same-sex
‘marriage’ forever. But whether it takes two years or two decades, NOM
is determined to fight every day for the truth of marriage and for the
good that it provides for families and children.

That makes absolutely no sense. Furthermore, we are approaching three years since Obergefell, five years since Windsor and 14 years since marriage equality came to Massachusetts. What has happened that is so terrible and what does any of that have to do with with the joy of Easter?

Finally:

You would think that Brown would have the class to keep his hands in his own pockets once in awhile.
