Dutch Sheets
Dutch Sheets via YouTube. Yes, I muted the moron.

Dutch Sheets, the profoundly anti-LGBT grifter-preacher, announced in 2011: “The president is a Muslim.” That not only expressed Sheets’ disdain for President Obama but it expressed Sheets’ willingness to accept conspiracy theories and to participate in their propagation. Moreover, at the same time Sheets was denigrating Islam.

The Supreme Court’s 2015 ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges was a bit upsetting to Mr. Sheets:

…sadness, grief and anger over the redefining of marriage by the Supreme Court has been profound and is certainly appropriate. These emotions are much different than the trivial feelings caused by the sting of “losing.” They are more akin to the deep grief associated with death.

In the same post, Sheets revealed his stellar mind-reading skills:

The justices that voted to redefine marriage know the Constitution doesn’t give them that right.

Today, at long last, Sheets explains the source of his wisdom with: Prophetic Exhortation: It’s Time to Shift the Courts!

I want to tell you a little about my journey. When God spoke to me in Oct. 2002, he said that he wanted me to give my focus to the courts. He said they were the open gate where evil is coming into the nation, and the church must change that. I began to stir up the prayer movement and say, “You must pray for the courts.”

That leaves us with only two choices. Either Sheets is a liar or he is insane. Perhaps a combination of the two. Apparently the omnipotent deity requires Dutch Sheets’ assistance to advance “his” agenda. No one else that I am aware of has come forward to say that God spoke to them about the courts in 2002. Why would he need Sheets’ help? Were there no better choices? Why would he need anyone’s help? If he is having this little confab, why would he need Sheets to pray (ostensibly to him)?

After telling people (twice) the prayer that they should recite with the usual religious bloat:

Today’s decree:

America: Fulfill your destiny! Preach the gospel to the nations of the earth!

Which begs the question: Whose “decree” is that? How often, since 2002, has Sheets’ god chatted him up?

Dutch Sheets Ministries has an improperly completed tax return for 2016. Aside from being incomplete, line items are flat out incorrect. Sheets and his wife took out $120,000 (it was $185,000 the prior year). No, he didn’t take out less. He just moved $65,000 to other compensation. “Other expenses” also nearly doubled and are inconsistent, year-to-year. I would bet that compensation has been “augmented” to put it politely. The holier-than-thou crowd often claim Christian Privilege when it comes to their tax returns and paying their fair share.

Oddly enough there was an out-of-state paid preparer but I would never sign a 990 (his wife signed) without reviewing every single line. An entire column is missing. I will submit a referral to the Service. Let them sort it out.
