Howard Center for Family Religion and Society is the parent organization of World Congress of Families and International Organization for the Family. Brian S. Brown became president of the hate group in May, 2016.

For calendar year 2017, the operation saw donations drop nearly 65%, from $577 thousand to $205 thousand. The budget was slashed by nearly 75%, from $433 thousand to $110 thousand. Brian S. Brown was not on the payroll.

From IOF I receive the moneybeg du jour. Apparently, at least in 2017, those fell on deaf ears. Demonizing George Soros to raise money was an unsuccessful strategy.

Now, before you get overly excited, it is my belief that these organizations exist on foreign funds, mostly from Russian oligarchs. It is also my belief that these should be incorporated into the organization’s annual report to the Internal Revenue Service. Brian Brown could be compensated by the same Russian funds.

In 2017 World Congress of Families held its annual event in Budapest. The available funds and a cash position of only $32 thousand at year’s end would make it impossible for the organization to finance the event. They further claim to have had no interest in a foreign bank account. It is possible but it doesn’t add up.

I have an open inquiry into the Service which I hope to resolve next year through my new representative which should (hopefully) be Donna Shalala. If Congress does not change hands, I will press the IRS.
