Nearly 70% of Massachusetts voters elected to retain existing protections for transgender people.
|This campaign didn’t quite work for MassResistance as they expected. Voters overwhelmingly approved Question 3, retaining protections for transgender folks.|
MassResistance, the Massachusetts hate group, was at the helm of Keep MA Safe, the campaign to strip transgender citizens of protections. Along with a number of religious groups made the customary appeals claiming that the safety of women and children was imperiled by bathroom accommodations.
At a Christian site recently, hate group leader Brian Camenker was bragging about how successful he was in thwarting a transgender activist in a debate.
According to Camkenker:
Let’s be honest: This isn’t really about bathrooms, per se. This is about forcing the lunatic ideology of “transgenderism” on everyone. But in Massachusetts (and just about everywhere else) the “establishment” pro-family groups simply refuse to say that, or even criticize the concept of “transgenderism.” So they come up with “less inflammatory” arguments. But that rarely works.
Camenker, by the way, is an unhinged Jew who does a pretty good imitation of a fanatical Christian zealot. His is a lethal combination of irrational and stupid.
Another hate group, American Family Association, claimed: “Crazy transgender restroom question on Mass. ballots.” AFA’s appeal looked like this:
This November, voters in Massachusetts will be asked whether they want to repeal a 2016 law allowing a person to claim any gender, regardless of anatomy, and use the bathroom or locker room facility based on the claimed gender – even convicted sex offenders.
That’s right. People “claim” a gender like they were deciding on pizza toppings. I have searched and searched for a transgender sex offender. Alas, perhaps that there are two or three but I cannot find them. Can AFA?
Needless to say, there is nothing on MassResistance’s website commenting on their loss last night.
