Thursday, I received an email from Brian S. Brown on behalf of National Organization for Marriage. This title of Brown’s missive is: Making support for marriage illegal. According to Mr. Brown:

Legislation pending in Congress would make showing support for marriage as solely the union of one man and one woman to be illegal. Under HR 5, the grossly misnamed “Equality Act,” holding the view that marriage should only be between a man and a woman would constitute sex discrimination against someone who is gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender.

NOM has launched a petition to Congress opposing HR 5.

This is a painfully verbose email. Yet Brown doesn’t get around to explaining how a point of view becomes discrimination relative to employment, housing or public accommodations (which would be prohibited by HR5). My question is simply this:

Does anyone really believe this BS?
