The only thing NOM actually does is to ask for money.

Brian S. Brown

Day after day. It’s shameful really. Brian S. Brown asks the faithful for money to do something that National Organization for Marriage cannot do and will not do. They won’t even try to do it. What has NOM ever accomplished?

Furthermore, Mr. Brown looted the failed organization and now he has the balls to ask for more money.

Before I get further into this, I indirectly thanked Brian S. Brown today. California Proposition 8 did more to energize and organize the national marriage equality movement than HRC could ever dream of. Brown won the battle and lost the war.

Getting back to today’s informative missive:

These four cases show why we can never let the LGBT agenda become law-

Over the last several years, a number of high-profile cases have erupted where people of faith have declined to deploy their talents to participate in activities that violate their belief in marriage as the union of one man and one woman. What has happened in these cases, some of which go back more than seven years, tells a powerful and profound story about the degree to which religious intolerance has advanced, and how LGBT advocates have weaponized their movement.

It’s the usual BS followed by the usual coterie of “victims” who believe that there is one set of laws for conservative Christians and another set for everyone else. They have a God-given right to discriminate against people they disapprove of in violation of applicable law. Or so they believe. It’s all neatly cloaked into scripture of course.

My thought is that Mr. Brown is again moving the needle in our direction. There are the ceaseless and utterly dishonest pleas for money. Then there is the promotion of the preposterous idea that, say, a florist is violating her conscience if she sells flowers to be displayed at a same-sex wedding. Combine all that with Brian S. Brown’s ethical challenges and it is a mystery why anyone would subsidize the enterprise.

Of course each email has plenty of these to click on (maybe they are the secret to the grift):
