A reader recommended that I prohibit guest comments (comments without a disqus account). She was right as guest comments consume a large portion of moderation. No more. Enough evil trolls. May their fingers break on their keyboards.

It appears that the redirect from http to https is working after numerous attempts. I am not entirely sure if http to https benefits from the SSL encryption. If you are using Chrome a secure connection (https) will show a small lock symbol to the left of the url bar.

On that note, due to my profound incompetence, I had to build this site six times (seven if you count the local install). In the process I had one complete meltdown with a tantrum worthy of a two-year-old. It seems funny now but it wasn’t at the time.

At this point I’ll fix anything that is broken. In the process I ordered a server upgrade to get a bit more horsepower. That will take effect shortly. I plan on adding some additional features.

About 60% of the old site has been migrated. It is a time consuming process that will hopefully be finished this coming week. The conversion application has difficulty maintaining a connection. The conversions are good but the throughput is awful.

A special note of thanks to the readers who offered suggestions. I also provided access to the development site to three people by pointing DNS to a subdomain. Thank you for your kind consideration.

I am open to guest posts again. If you have something to say, let me know. I have never permitted paid guest posts (although I get several solicitations every week). That policy remains in effect.

It’s Sunday night. I have Netflix, HBOmax, Prime Video, Showtime and Starz. There remains not a fucking thing worth watching.
