Republicans are determined to run for office by threatening to murder gender-diverse children.
Per the Daily Wire. Texas gubernatorial candidate Don Huffines, a Republican, is running a campaign ad attacking fellow Republican, Texas Governor Greg Abbott, for alleged inaction on trans kids. The ad features grifter Jeff Younger.
Younger has joint custody with his ex-wife, Dr. Anne Georgulas, of Luna, their trans daughter. Luna is eight or nine years of age.
Jeff Younger is a ne’er-do-well and pathological liar who seems to have made a living through donations to supposedly “save” his daughter from gender-confirmation surgery. Members of the Christian Right are easily fleeced through any anti-LGBTQ appeal.
In contrast, Dr. Georgulas is a well-respected, board-certified pediatrician who also has an academic posting. Unfortunately, Georgulas has terrible taste in men. I believe, by the way, that Younger has violated a court order not to speak on this matter.
In the ad, Younger insists on deadnaming and misgendering his daughter. Younger’s behavior is abusive. Over the weekend I sent a fax to Dr. Georgulas just to make sure that she is aware of the problem.
Getting back to Huffines’ campaign ad:
Huffines vows to outlaw the medical transition of children in the state of Texas if elected governor. “Transitionary therapy and genital mutilation surgery on children is legal in Texas,” Huffines captioned the ad. “This is absurd, and when I am governor we will put an end to all of it.”
Uh, huh. Mr. Huffines is a realtor. Huffines might have a BA from University of Texas. He certainly has no training which might allow him to determine how a medical condition should be treated.
Furthermore, at eight or nine years of age, Luna is not receiving any medical interventions. Her transition likely amounts to hair and clothing. Moreover, minors are not candidates for any form of gender-affirming surgery. Mr. Huffines doesn’t know what he doesn’t know.
“Do kids have to die in order for a politician to pick up a few votes from ignoramuses?”
What is “absurd” is Mr. Huffines. He is making statements out of ignorance in order to appeal to the MAGA morons. According to Younger in the ad:
I live in Texas. My ex-wife has been trying to sexually transition my son since the age of three. She wants him to be a girl. I’m fighting for my son’s life because our politicians refuse to ban the barbaric practice of transition therapy, puberty blockers, and even genital mutilation surgery on kids.
So the two-watt bulb thinks that politicians (farmers, hog merchants, real estate agents and lawyers) should ban, … what exactly? By whom and why? To satisfy Jeff Younger, a high school graduate who cannot hold a job?
There was expert testimony that Dr. Georgulas would never have married Younger had he not lied to her about his background. For example, Younger claimed to have had a successful military career when, in fact, he was dishonorably discharged.
In New York, Younger would lose his custodial privileges and visitation would have to be supervised by the court. Sadly, Luna has the misfortune of growing up in Texas. Furthermore, she has a moron for a father.
I have received no communications whatsoever from Dr. Georgulas who is obeying the court order. It would not surprise me if she moved out of state to get rid of Mr. Younger and in the best interests of Luna. While she would have to give up her practice, she would probably have ample opportunities elsewhere.
“Murder” is the right word. If kids die because a politician practices medicine then that is homicide. Do kids have to die in order for a politician to pick up a few votes from ignoramuses?
For the record, the clinical practice standards of the American Academy of Pediatrics are based on the gender-affirming care model. Did Don Huffines acquire his knowledge of medical science by studying for his real estate license?
