Mark Miloscia is deranged, paranoid and convince that LGBTQ people will destroy America
The profoundly paranoid Mark Miloscia is of questionable sanity and convinced that LGBTQ people will literally destroy America | via WUSA9

Mark Miloscia’s use of the word “flamboyant” unintentionally reveals his maniacal irrationality.

Tuesday, Hate Group Leader Mark Miloscia (Family Policy Institute of Washington) writes: Celebrating Pride Month IS Celebrating America’s Destruction

Miloscia is a reasonably smart guy and he is relatively well educated. However, Miloscia has an acute personality disorder. Miloscia was (perhaps still is) a lobbyist for the Washington State Catholic Conference of Bishops and a substitute teacher for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle.

What happened to Mr. Miloscia is that he transformed faith into religious extremism. Miloscia is part of the fly-planes-into-buildings set. The existence of LGBTQ people, many of whom are more successful than he is, drives Miloscia into irrational, maniacal hysteria.

What these people never seem to understand is that they created Pride Month. Pride Month would be unnecessary were it not for the bigotry of people like Mr. Miloscia.

Mark Miloscia is bent on convincing people that the LGBTQ community and its allies are determined to destroy Christianity. Frankly, I will settle for equal protection and due process. Common sense dictates that there is no benefit to destroying Christianity.

I might ordinarily call Miloscia’s polemic a “diatribe.” “Fever dream” is a more accurate description.

A rather dated and trite smear. Yet it is revealing:

Miloscia has since deleted but originally wrote (proof on file):

June, known as “Pride Month” by LGBT advocates and as now acknowledged almost universally by corporate America, is as flamboyant as ever.

Flamboyant” used to be an anti-gay pejorative. It says that gay people are not supposed to do anything that outwardly identifies them as gay. Those who did display their sexuality were deemed crude, perverted and callous: “Flamboyant.” People were derided for “flaunting” their sexuality.

The accompanying homophobic canard was that these “flamboyant homosexuals” posed a danger to impressionable (always “innocent”) children. That pretty much sums up Mark Miloscia’s attitude towards LGBTQ persons.

Miloscia is infuriated that LGBTQ people no longer stay in the closet. He is further enraged (as you will see below) because LGBTQ people are accepted for who they are by corporate America and the vast majority of our citizens. Mr. Miloscia is determined to try to make people as hateful as he is. He is not sufficiently rational to succeed.

“… when companies demonstrate support for LGBTQ people they are appealing to the majority of their customers and potential customers.”

With the above in mind, it is easy to understand why Miloscia would hyperbolically write:

It’s June, which means everywhere you turn, you’ll find corporate America openly celebrating and promoting “Pride Month.” Every logo suddenly finds a rainbow, and many companies seem eager to promote the forced acceptance and celebration of debauchery and hedonistic sexual ethics and the continued, ongoing destruction of our Christian heritage and end of basic American values.

It’s arithmetic Mr. Miloscia:

Even Marco Rubio has conceded that LGBTQ people have historically suffered from unfair prejudice and oppression (not that my senior senator is exactly an ally). Yet most Americans have close family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers and others who are LGBTQ persons.

One of the things that we learned from the battle for marriage equality was that, if people got to know gay people, their attitudes would change. Transgender persons are starting to benefit from the same dynamic. Attitudes have changed.

Therefor, when companies demonstrate support for LGBTQ people they are appealing to the majority of their customers and potential customers. Furthermore, any company’s most valuable asset is the people they can attract as employees. Recruiting LGBTQ people increases the pool of available employees.

And it’s not just LGBTQ people. Many straight, cisgender people prefer to work for welcoming companies. The logic is simple: The corporate culture is performance-focused and less political.

Getting back to the above quote, no one is trying to — or can — “force” acceptance of LGBTQ people. Mr. Miloscia would like to believe that people and companies do not choose to accept LGBTQ people but are somehow coerced. That simply is not the case.

“Suggesting that LGBTQ people are especially debaucherous requires balls and no small measure of stupidity.”

Miloscia uses the terms “hedonistic” and “debauchery” as a means of denigrating LGBTQ people. He does so due to his personality disorder and his religious radicalism. Very few bishops of the Catholic Church would ever use those terms.

Hedonistic means that one is engaged in the pursuit of pleasure and is sensually self-indulgent. LGBTQ people do not have anything close to a monopoly on hedonism. Debauchery means excessive indulgence in sensual pleasure. Suggesting that LGBTQ people are especially debaucherous requires balls and no small measure of stupidity.

Needless to say, there is ample debauchery and hedonism among heterosexual, cisgender people.

“Mr. Miloscia can worship horny toads for all I care. However, when he smears LGBTQ people he is being a bigot.”

Our poor, terribly victimized polemicist is in a froth to find more means of smearing LGBTQ people while demonstrating that LGBTQ acceptance is a zero-sum proposition for Christians:

It wasn’t all that long ago that “family friendly” Corporate America promoted morality and even Christian ethics in its advertising … But those days seem long gone for most companies, as faith is replaced by a new religion of radical humanism and narcissism.

Oh the poor dear needs more mirrors. Mr. Miloscia and his ilk are responsible, in part, for America becoming less religious. People do not want to be part of something that is always in a rage. Increasing secularism doesn’t replace something with something else.

“Radical humanism” means a defense against the fact that religion is not a requirement of morality. Some would say quite the opposite. Ethnic cleansing of Native Americans, slavery and then segregation were all instigated and excused by conservative Christianity.

Prior to, and ever since, the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition, the pious have not been particularly moral.

Christians are increasingly unwelcome in corporate environments and, even if they are tolerated, most are forced into silence about their beliefs and values – especially when it comes to the LGBT lobby’s biggest culture-shifting objectives.

“The lunatic is actually saying that the acceptance of LGBTQ people inevitably leads to the end of our country.”

Companies are very tolerant of beliefs and — come on — most people and most employees in this country are Christians. What companies will not tolerate are people whose behavior is disruptive.

I have actually hired schmucks like Mr. Miloscia. They were judged by their performance. Now if one of those people started to criticize another employee because she had a picture of her wife on her desk, that would be a serious problem. Doing so has no benefit to the business and it is counterproductive.

Preaching and proselytizing are not usually part of anyone’s job description.

Mr. Miloscia can worship horny toads for all I care. However, when he smears LGBTQ people he is being a bigot.

Eventually, having lost any grasp on perspective, Miloscia is in an uncontrolled rage:

Think about what June now truly represents: the destruction of America! Corporate America is now going to spend 30 days celebrating and aiding the activities that will destroy Christians and families here in America, which may lead to the end of America as a viable country.

Pride Month does not celebrate sexuality. What is celebrates is the acceptance of LGBTQ people as participants in American society. Pride Month does not have negative consequences. It certainly doesn’t lead to the destruction of anything.

Come to think of it, it might lead to the further destruction of Mark Miloscia’s sanity. Read again the psychotic outburst of this very crazy person. The lunatic is actually saying that the acceptance of LGBTQ people inevitably leads to the end of our country.

When did personal sobriety and common sense cease to exist?
Are there shortages of Prozac and Xanax in Seattle?

“Christians must be victims. Better yet, if Christians are victims of LGBTQ people then they are exalted.

Why is much of Corporate America choosing to openly celebrate, destructive sin, and support the organizations who will destroy our country?

The answer is pretty simple, actually: fear of the raw power of the LGBT movement and anti-Christian elites, and a lack of faith in God.

Actually, the answer to that question is found through Occam’s Razor. When considering competing explanations of theories, the simplest is usually the most likely to be correct.

Aside from the fact that none of this leads to the destruction of anything, the simplest explanation (as I have explained above) is that the acceptance of LGBTQ people is very beneficial to the bottom line.

I could start a successful mutual fund whose acquisitions were limited to the shares of companies that have been the target of Christian boycotts. Those seem to outperform the Dow.

Those successful companies are not highly profitable because they have been targeted. They are highly profitable in part because of the things that they do that caused them to be targeted for Christian opprobrium. In other words, Mr. Miloscia is pissing into the wind.

American Family Association and National Organization for Marriage have been exceptionally accurate reverse barometers.

Mark Miloscia doesn’t get it. He will never get it.

The reason that Miloscia cannot understand the economic logic is that, in his world view, Christians must be victims. Better yet, if Christians are victims of LGBTQ people then they are exalted.

In the zero-sum, religious conservative universe, anything that benefits LGBTQ people must be a detriment to their religion.

These whacked out people make declarations like this:

The radical pagans and heretical Christians who have abandoned God, know that they need to use raw power and fear to get America’s businesses and corporations on their side, if they are ever to achieve a world where their blatant sin is never questioned.

They use power and fear to push Hollywood for more visibility. They pushed corporations to include more gay couples in their advertising. They filed lawsuits, started boycotts, and even demonstrated against Christian business owners – to silence their beliefs and anything they might say that undermines the LGBT narrative. They created “Pride Month” as a way to coerce the nation’s economic drivers into supporting their objectives and in destroying Christians.

“I have about run out of terms to describe Miloscia’s acute psychosis. Pride Month was actually created by Bill Clinton in 1999.”

There is no shortage of convenience motives in the above. Apparently people who choose not to discriminate are “pagans and heretical Christians.” Miloscia doesn’t want to “question” what he terms “blatant sin.” Rather he seeks to judge the behavior of others.

The toxic behavior is easy to understand. In Miloscia’s world the key levers for dogmatic compliance are shame and approval. Miloscia is determined to heap shame on those he disapproves of. The reasons for doing so are irrelevant.

I would like to think that companies react out of respect for fairness (and of course the bottom line). I do not know what leverage GLAAD and HRC have that could make corporations fear them.

Yes, in 2008 gay people and their allies demonstrated against companies that were funding Proposition 8. (I suppose that is what Miloscia is whining about.) These protests were coordinated in large measure by Fred Karger. Karger did the right thing.

These companies sought to diminish our rights on the basis of false talking points which existed to obscure the fact that opposition to marriage equality lacked secular reasoning. Fred Karger was successful. His work reached as far as Maine where the local archdiocese would no longer finance an anti-equality ballot initiative (they “invested” over $500,000 the first time around).

None of this was done to “silence their beliefs,” as Miloscia claims. It was undertaken so that organizations would stop funding bigotry for their deity. Just to refresh the above-quoted text, it includes:

They created “Pride Month” as a way to coerce the nation’s economic drivers into supporting their objectives and in destroying Christians.

I have about run out of terms to describe Miloscia’s acute psychosis. Pride Month was actually created by Bill Clinton in 1999. The last time I checked, Bill was a Baptist. Pride Month was intended to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.

In my opinion, the key component of Gay Pride, as it was known then, was not as a demonstration to others. Rather it was a means of self-assurance. The “pride” represented a displacement of shame which was heaped upon gay people.

Pride, Pride Month since 1999, doesn’t have a sinister agenda. Pride is about the dignity that LGBTQ people deserve. It certainly is not intent on “destroying Christians.”

Miloscia quotes GLAAD, the added emphasis is his. Note what concerns him the most:

“Non-LGBTQ people who are exposed to LGBTQ media images are more likely to experience increasing levels of acceptance and comfortability towards LGBTQ people. Companies and brands have the responsibility to ensure that they include LGBTQ people in their ads, with an emphasis on accurate, positive, impactful representation.”

That’s right. His fear is that more people will replace negative stereotypes with acceptance.

That, in turn, makes it less likely that people will discriminate against LGBTQ people. Apparently Miloscia finds that deeply troubling. He likely believes the ignorant stupidity that emanates from the Vatican. According to those eunuchs, gay people are “objectively disordered” and gay sex is “intrinsically disordered.” Trans people do not really exist.

Catholics support LGBTQ rights and dignity in a greater percentage than the general public.

They and Mr. Miloscia are entitled to their opinion. The evidence-based scientific facts are in strong disagreement with the religious doctrine. The entire range of sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as where the two constructs intersect for every person, represent natural variances in human sexuality.

The science is problematic for people like Miloscia because it leads to the conclusion, in his terms, that his god created LGBTQ people. That creates evidence of the incongruence of scripture. In fact the majority of Christian and Jewish scholars believe that the Bible represents the times in which it was written.

Acute paranoia is a psychological term that I have not used, until …

What is not being said, is that they will also use corporate America to criminalize or destroy Christian conduct and speech, as we have seen with MLB, Coca-Cola, and too many other corporations that we will soon call out by name. The LGBT lobby is deliberately using Corporate America to force the acceptance of their anti-Biblical behaviors while simultaneously, working to destroy organizations who support the Christian viewpoints on sexuality and human identity.

Dishonesty is not usually a psychological condition but it coincides with Miloscia’s intense paranoia. I am not going to attempt a batshit-to-English translation.

Suffice it to say, LGBTQ acceptance doesn’t “criminalize” Christianity. If nut job is referring to nondiscrimination laws, the long-established legal standard is one of neutrality. Facial neutrality means a law that does not, as written, discriminate against a particular group.

Christians, Jews, Muslims and all other religions are treated equally in a law banning discrimination in public accommodations. He is repeating himself. Mania does that to people. Corporate America is not in the coercion business. Its objective is to make more money.

Why is this guy so intent on characterizing himself as a victim of LGBTQ acceptance? Yeah, that’s a rhetorical question but promoting acceptance is nothing personal. Mr. Miloscia is not being targeted.

Acceptance causes people to be gay or trans:

Today, only 5.4% of Americans identify as LGBT, but that number is much larger than those who identified as LGBT just a few years ago. With millennials, that number is now 16%! The outsized role of LGBT-focused advertising isn’t about being “accurate;” it’s about being persuasive within the next generation of consumers.

That 5.4% is linked to a Gallup poll. The 16% is linked to nothing. Sexual orientation and gender identity are robustly resistant to outside influence. That is why conversion therapy is both futile and harmful.

Marketing to LGBTQ people is good business. It’s not part of a sinister conspiracy. This nonsense reads like the source is the amalgamation of an anti-LGBTQ hate group with QAnon.

Eventually this comes to a conclusion and a complete abandonment of reality:

We need to speak up and press Corporate America, and our elected officials, to reject the LGBT mandates being forced by the LGBT lobby upon Americans and return to the gospel of Jesus Christ as the guiding document for morality in America. Only bringing people back to prayer and to Jesus Christ will save corporate America from itself and our country.

I am of the opinion that the Corporate Equality Index is the most important work of the Human Rights Campaign. Companies strive to achieve a perfect score. Acceptance is good for business.

In the final analysis the kind of hate expressed by Mark Miloscia has no intrinsic value. It gives comfort to some people who are already bigoted in their attitudes towards LGBTQ folks but it sure as hell does not expand that segment of society.

Miloscia’s expectations are preposterous. Corporate America is secular and will remain secular. As a nation we are becoming less religious. People are increasingly unwilling to replace objective truth with religious doctrine. That is unlikely to change.
