Making the rounds in the Christian Echosphere is the apoplexia over a YouTube video from the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus. Titled “Message From the Gay Community,” They poked some fun at fundamentalist Christians.
The original video was apparently deleted but some Christian in severe anguish reposted it.
Brian S. Brown’s Igor (Joseph Grabowski): WATCH: Gay men’s group declares, “We’ll convert your children.”
Grabowksi did not actually link to something one could watch. However, he did post the refrain that caused him so much distress:
You fight against our rights
You say we all lead lives you can’t respect.
But you’re just frightened
You think that we’ll corrupt your kids
If our agenda goes unchecked.
Funny… just this once; you’re correct.
We’ll convert your children,
Happens bit by bit,
Quietly and subtly,
And you will barely notice it.
You can keep ’em from disco,
Warn about San Francisco,
Make ’em wear pleated pants:
We don’t care.
We’ll convert your children.
We’ll make them tolerant and fair.
“Is that reverse conversion therapy?”
Some of the facial expressions by two people at the start of the video are priceless.
In an email Thursday (asking for money of course), Brian S. Brown wrote:
… the radical LGBT “Pride” agenda is about nothing less than trampling the freedoms of folks like us. If you think I’m exaggerating, check out this week’s truly shocking top story. It features a video put out by a gay men’s chorus with a message for parents who share the beliefs you and I do. That message? “WE’LL CONVERT YOUR CHILDREN.” It is truly shocking, and needs to be seen by everyone who still believes the lie that the LGBT agenda is all about “Equality.” It’s about making people of faith second-class citizens… or worse.
Simply “shocking.” Perhaps some of these people actually believe that “convert”ing children means turning them gay. Is that reverse conversion therapy?
On the other hand — and on a more serious note — perhaps they see peril in “We’ll make them tolerant and fair.” If you have ever wondered just how crazy these people are, there is your answer.
Perhaps Brown and Grabowski have forgotten this gem which spawned countless parodies and became a source of sardonic amusement. You might not realize that this was not intended as satire:
