Jeanne Smits is apparently a racist sympathizer

The anti-LGBTQ hate site, LifeSiteNews is mostly concerned these days with spreading misinformation about covid vaccines. Every day they publish a half-dozen articles that depend upon discredited crackpots.

LifeSite is particularly outrageous and offensive with: As of Monday, I will officially be a second-class citizen of France — “France’s ‘new apartheid’ will restrict ordinary, everyday freedoms to those who carry a COVID-19 status pass.

The author of this drivel is Jeanne Smits who claims to be a freelance Catholic “journalist.” Smits is responsible for dozens of similar posts. For the benefit of this moron, there is a marked difference between Apartheid and vaccine requirements.

Apartheid was South African and Rhodesian (now Zimbabwe) public policy of segregation based upon race. The policy was enforced through violence. The intent of the racism was to maintain white minority rule in those two countries. The last time I checked, race was involuntary. Racial minorities have an absolute right to equality.

With respect to vaccines, Ms. Smits has made an irresponsible choice. Jeanne Smits chooses to be a potential spreader of the virus. It is a virus that can spread from asymptomatic individuals. France is not employing violence to enforce policy.

The reasons for Smits’ choice are irrelevant. If she does not like the consequences then she can make another choice: Accept the consequences or get vaccinated.

Another choice that she should make is to cease comparing a government’s ambitions of white supremacy to a government policy designed to protect the majority of citizens. Apartheid was hate-based. Vaccine mandates are based on logic and the common good.
