The nutty hate group leader is a public menace.
Hate monger, Mad Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel (an anti-LGBTQ hate group), has become known for his unglued anti-vax hysteria. He has even compared vaccine mandates to the Holocaust.
Now Mad Mat is terribly distressed. He has penned: Unlawful Shot Mandates Threaten Flight Travel. It reads, in part:
As COVID shot mandates escalate, major airlines are sacrificing the health and safety of employees and passengers. Three airlines have announced they will require employees to get the COVID injection to keep their jobs. United Airlines became the first major U.S. carrier to mandate the shots for its approximately 67,000 employees, who must be fully vaccinated by October 25 or face termination. Staff who upload vaccination proof by Sept. 20 will receive a full day’s pay, and exemptions will be made for some health or religious reasons on an individual basis. Scores of United employees object to getting these shots.
“Mat Staver is a bigot. Ordinarily Staver is lying about LGBTQ people. It is now apparent that Staver will even lie to — and about — the faithful.”
As a private company UAL can set work requirements. What I want to know is precisely how vaccine requirements threaten “the health and safety of employees and passengers.” Furthermore, there does not exist a valid religious exemption to a vaccine requirement. According to the Vatican, for example:
Our hospitals are filling up with new COVID-19 cases. The vast majority of those are unvaccinated people. Aside from the fact that unvaccinated people put their own health at risk, the dumb schmucks are responsible for allowing the virus to spread and mutate. Not being vaccinated is irresponsible and self-centered.
Later on (Staver is so full of crap):
Despite the VAERS data that shows 545,337 adverse events, including 12,366 deaths as of July 30, 2021, the federal government and some private companies are choosing to ignore the safety issues and the law.
Here is just part of the CDC disclaimer:
At this point 345 million Americans have received at least one dose of the vaccine. The most common adverse reaction is soreness at the injection site.
The only way out of this mess is to wear masks, socially distance, wash hands and get vaccinated.
